Angry Birds has been quite the success since it came out. The numerous variations have driven most social gamers to addiction. Now Rovio is seeking to make even more cash from their birds filled with rage.
Angry Birds for Facebook came out on Valentines day this year and people have been playing ever since. Now the game has taken a turn for the social. The Facebook game has now been renamed “Angry Birds Friends” and features leader boards and weekly tournament events. Depicting from the video it also seems like players can chose an Angry Birds avatar and customize it to their liking.
Rovio seems to be driving this franchise into the ground. It’s only a matter of time before social gamers start crying for more. I can only guess what’s coming next. Happy Cats? Brooding Dogs? Fickle Squirrels? Only Rovio knows.
Hopefully “Friends” won’t make competing buddies become “angry” with each other.
