Writing about this one because the hand-drawn animations are too eye-catching to ignore. There’s a point and click adventure game called The Little Acre, made by the Pewter Games studio in Dublin. Curve Digital has decided to publish the title, releasing a video to help reintroduce the game to the public.
The player is transported into an interactive classic cartoon world here. The story of The Little Acre takes us back to 1950s Ireland, where Aidan tries to solve his father’s disappearance. He ends up being teleported to a land far away from home. Aidan’s daughter Lily decides to try and help her dad, managing to cause her own ruckus in doing so.
Charles Cecil is now an Executive Producer and he had this to say:
“When I first saw The Little Acre, I was blown away by the game’s beauty and attention to detail. I was delighted to discover how much of an influence Broken Sword had had on The Little Acre and was enormously flattered when Chris and Ben asked me to act as Executive Producer. “It’s a game I would have been extremely proud to have written myself and I am very excited to be building a relationship, and friendship, with a very talented young development team.”
Charles will help put the finishing touches on the game, making the hand-drawn animation, musical score, full voice acting, and the ability to play two different characters all come together in one package.
The Little Acre is coming out later this year for PC (Mac), Xbox One, and PS4. To see more related content for this game, check out the website, Twitter, and Facebook.
