Before E3 kicked off this year, there were several rumors hyping up a big video game project from Take-Two Interactive, and with that, there was plenty of hype building that gamers would finally get a new installment reveal for the Red Dead franchise. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case, but now the rumors are gearing up once again for the upcoming Gamescom event.
Again, these are simply rumors as Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed that they would be showing off their next Red Dead video game installment at the event. However, that still hasn’t prevent new rumors and reports from making their way online.
The latest report, which we’ll label as a rumor, comes from Christian Today, where it was stated that the next Red Dead title will have two main protagonists. This would make sense as Rockstar’s previous video game release, Grand Theft Auto V, was a massive hit and included three playable characters within the main campaign.
While Take-Two Interactive, the parent company for Rockstar Games, has made mention that the development team would be showing off new projects soon, this does not mean we’ll be seeing a Red Dead video game. There’s also just as much interest in seeing a new campaign expansion for Grand Theft Auto V, but for the meantime, no reports have been confirmed.
For now, it’s best just to wait and see what titles Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive will be bringing towards the Gamescom event this year.
