Just a few days ago, it was rumored that EA was planning on unveiling its own take on Activision's Call of Duty Elite. It will reportedly be called "Battlefield Premium;" but aside from the purported name not much data has been shared — at least, until now.
Reputable fan-site Battlefieldo is now claiming that this "rumor" is indeed not a rumor. They're saying that they have multiple credible sources who are all saying the same thing…that this thing is legit and is set to be unveiled by EA on June 4 — presumably at the publisher's E3 press conference.
While they're saying the actual reveal date might change, the fan-site is standing firm on the Battlefied Premium rumor and they even managed to unearth more info regarding it.
Based on their sources, Battlefield Premium will consist of "all 5 Battlefield expansion packs with early access, new camos, and exclusive in-game items for a one-tme fee."
Seems to me it sounds a bit like Activision's Call of Duty Elite, no?
In any case, we'll (hopefully) know more on June 4 if this rumor is indeed the real deal.
Would you be willing to purchase DICE's Battlefield Premium? What would make you pay for such a service? I think if they implemented Battlecorder in the service that would drive sales by itself, no? Hopefully, EA won't get the same idea since I'm pretty sure people will hate them (and DICE) if they indeed charge for Battlecorder.
