The Steam page for Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location is up, and with it we get new details about the game’s release date and plot.
It seems as if things are different this time around, with Scott Cawthon going for more of the active player approach that we saw in Five Nights at Freddy’s 4. According to the Steam description:
Welcome to Circus Baby’s Pizza World, where family fun and interactivity go beyond anything you’ve seen at those *other* pizza places! With cutting-edge animatronic entertainers that will knock your kids’ socks off, as well as customized pizza catering, no party is complete without Circus Baby and the gang!
Now hiring: Late night technician. Must enjoy cramped spaces and be comfortable around active machinery. Not responsible for death or dismemberment.
What we can tell from this description is that it’s definitely more of a departure from Five Nights at Freddy’s Freddy Fazbear as being the center of attention. No longer are you a security guard, meant to keep watch over the place. This time, you’re in charge of making sure all the machines are in ship-shape for the morning.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location has an October 2016 release date for PC. For updates in the meantime, the best place to check out is the subreddit for the series.
