Blizzard's Diablo franchise is mostly known to be a PC-centric game, but that doesn't mean Blizzard is completely ignoring the highly-lucrative console demographic. On the contrary, Leonard Boyarski, senior world designer for Diablo III, admits that the team is still "continuing to explore the possibilites" of Diablo III for consoles.
Of course, this isn't really a surprise since the publisher has even publicly acknowledged that someone internally is the lead designer for Diablo III on consoles. Not only that, but they also think the game's console adaptation will be a "Blizzard-like" experience if it ever comes to pass.
Do you think it would be wise for Blizzard to release a Diablo III port on the Xbox 360 and PS3 or would the game's limited controller interface sully the experience?
Diablo III will, of course, be available later tonight for the PC and Mac.
