Welcome to the medieval arena brawler of Overpower. It’s an indie early access game by Hydrant Games, where you pick one of 4 classes and duke it out across 9 different levels and 5 various game modes. Within the past few days, the developers have added a ranking system to raise the stakes of battle even higher. Check out this video below, where they show it off.
The leaderboard rank you end up with is dependent on your overall score. This is determined by your stats: kills, deaths, assists, lifetime damage done, and time played. If you think you can get away with boosting your rank by grinding on bots, think again. Killing other players in-game has much more of an impact than beating up bots over and over. The lowest available rank is recruits, where you’ll start off when you first arrive. But over time you can work your way up to the rank of champion!
The developers are hosting some Last Team Standing tournaments, starting today at 8 PM PST. Show up and you get a Free Royal Battalion Skin. But if you manage to win, you get a free Goonsquad for any class you would like.
