System Shock will be coming out for PS4, with no stretch goal, just a nice added bonus for the backers. Nightdive Studios hinted that more platform releases will be a possibility if enough money is raised so that the game can run successfully from platform to platform.
System Shock as of July 19th has a $1.9 million dollar stretch goal. The stretch goal encapsulates a release of a remix of the soundtrack from the original game. There will be an achievement that can implement these remixes as an alternate soundtrack for the game.
The two artists that will be working on the System Shock Remix album are named Celldweller and Blue Stahli. Celldweller is described as “a fusion of digital and organic textures, intricately designed soundscapes constructed from Drum & Bass, Electro and Modular Synths, woven together with aggressive Rock, Metal and Orchestral elements.” His focus is on space themes and Sci-Fi.
Blue Stahli is described as “a roller-coaster ride derailed mid-journey, landing on another track, only this time rolling backwards. Just when you think you know what Blue Stahli has in store for you, the floor drops out from under you and sends you straight into a cacophonous amalgamation of sounds you never imagined could be combined.”
Nightdive Studios seems to really want to make this game all that it can be and more with their Kickstarter.
