Analogue: A Hate Story is a game we've covered before here on the site. If you didn't pick it up before, you can do so now on Steam. Analogue marks the first time a visual novel has ever gotten mainstream reception, at least outside of Japan.
According to Christine Love, the creator of Analogue, the game takes place in a science fiction setting, and is about exploring the mystery of a long-lost generation ship with the help of an AI sidekick. She describes the game as a non-linear dark visual novel about transhumanism, traditional marriage, loneliness, and cosplay.
The game was was in collaboration with Raide—one of the artists of Katawa Shoujo—and has an original soundtrack by Isaac Schankler.
It is available on Steam now for $9.99.
