Blizzard Entertainment has quite a bit going on for them and with such a big company and multiple teams working on various projects, it’s exciting when the company seems interested in looking at a past IP. Today, we’re getting news thanks to Blizzpro, that Blizzard Entertainment is looking to continue on with their Diablo video game franchise.
After rumors and speculation as to what the future holds for Diablo, a new career page posting has revealed an opening position for a game director to take the lead in a Diablo project. Unfortunately, the posting really cuts off there so it’s anyone’s guess as to what this unannounced Diablo project actually is.
For one, it could mean that we’ll soon see the next Diablo III expansion, however, other gamers and journalists believe that Blizzard Entertainment is getting ready to move onto the next big installment of the series, Diablo IV.
With Diablo III: Reaper of Souls being the last expansion pack to have released for the Diablo III video game, which came out in 2014, it seems likely that we’ll move on to the next big installment. However, everything at this point is pure speculation. We very well could end up just seeing a remastered edition of the first two Diablo installments.
Check out the Game Director position right here to see what Blizzard Entertainment is looking for, while we wait to see what this unannounced project will ultimately mean for the Diablo franchise.
