It looks like Microsoft is trying to expand its money swimming pool this Holiday season by further monetizing XBOX Live. LinkedIn user Praveen Rutnam, Group Product Planner at Micrsoft listed this on his profile:
Developed strategy to further monetize Xbox LIVE subscriber base that will be implemented for holiday 2012
The form that this monetizing will come in is unknown as of now but gamers beware. You would think that Microsoft has implemented enough into their XBOX Live service with ads and superfluous digital clothing. However it seems that their hunger can never be satiated.
This could be something minor, but then again the “monetize Xbox Live subscriber base” isn’t too comforting. If I might wager a guess I would say that this new implementation will have something to do with the Holiday season since that is the time it’s being launched. Perhaps some sort of online service to order your gifts from? Whatever it is let’s hope that after this Microsoft has had enough.
