PS3/Vita game Motorstorm RC is bringing people together far more than perhaps you'd expect from looking at it. The Micro Machines-inspired racer is great fun, especially if you have friends playing it as well, but Sony have revealed this morning that it's more than just a bit of a laugh – in fact it's breaking records.
In a press release sent out this morning, Sony have announced that a new Motorstorm event begins somewhere in the world every second, that 19 people are downloading the game every minute, that two people become friends through the game every minute and that eight trophies a minute are rewarded to people playing.
If anybody doubted the power of social gaming within the core, you've just been proven wrong. If you like making friends, earning trophies and screaming in frustration whenever anybody manages to beat your score, definitely give the fantastic Motorstorm RC some time.
