EA has released the first gameplay trailer for the upcoming Medal of Honor: Warfighter. The trialer is fairly short as you can see, but it does reveal a focus on global warfighters and the games final release date on October 23.
A critical misstep, I'd say.
As confident as I am this sequel will be improved from it's 2010 prececessor, I think there's a slight chance it'll tank at retail. Not "Beyond Good & Evil" hard, but count on seeing it for $30-40 pretty soon after launch.
It's lauching after Resident Evil 6 and right in-between BioShock: Infinite and Assassin's Creed 3. Halo and Call of Duty have to be somewhere in their as well, so yeah, I'd say they're already bracing for a loss on this one.
But hey! The game looks great! Isn't that what reall matters? Besides, EA is alternating MoH and Battlefield to put out a new shooter every year, so don't count on this being the last of the franchise by any means.
