At a press conference held today in Las Vegas, Namco Bandai announced that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 will be released on the PS3 and Xbox 360 in September.
The console port will boast fifty fighters (up from the forty-four featured in the arcade version) a "Fight Lab" training mode for franchise new comers to get the hands dirty and storied palyers to sharpen their skills and 4-player pair play allowing players to team up online and tag in and out of matches.
Interestingly, Tecmo Koei has Dead or Alive 5 locked in for a September release putting both games in pretty direct competition with each other. I've been a Tekken fan for a while and what I've played of the Dead or Alive 5 Alpha demo, I don't find terribly impressive.
Still, it seems like as good a time to be a fan of the genre as ever (you know, minus all the issues with accepted sexism).
