So you've probably heard about the rumor that the Wii-U will be priced no lower than 300 dollars by now. Well Xtra Life, a spanish retailer, has somehow magically obtained the actual retail price of the Wii-U. Allegedly the Wii-U will be priced at €399 according to the web page advertising Nintendo's new console on the retailer's website. That's €150 more than the European launch price of the Wii, back in 2006. Sheesh! They have even dated the console to launch on November 11 of this year.
Now stuff like this, as you all know, is subject to change. Xtra Life even has a disclaimer on the page that the price is subject to change. Seriously though let's just speculate on this for a minute, cuz dear readers that's what jurnalizm is all about. If Nintendo were to sell the Wii-U at the price of €400, they would be fighting a losing battle. The XBOX 360 and PS3 are much better consoles with a diverse range of games AND they cost less. Nintendo, if you really are thinking about pricing the Wii-U so high then please reconsider. Take a look at what happened from the 3DS and take a friggin hint.
