Take-Two has indicated that GTA 6’s pre-orders are doing well, but they aren’t being specific.

In today’s earnings call, they said this to investors:
The company said global excitement for the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI continues to build, with the title having an exceptional start to pre-orders.
Interestingly, the company’s bookings are actually slightly down, at $ 1.39 billion this fiscal quarter down from $ 1.49 billion at the same time last year.
It’s been about a month and a half since they opened up pre-orders, revealing that there won’t be a physical disc version available and that the game will launch at $ 80 missing some content.
Word on the street is that there are customers discouraged from pre-ordering by a lack of a physical version. XBOX chimed in that they were not outperformed by PlayStation in GTA 6 pre-orders by a rate of 8-to-1.
Take-Two doesn’t have to share the pre-order numbers at this time, but if they could confirm an impressive number we know they would have boasted about it.
