So when you're playing Minecraft, what are you thinking? Probably "Okay, gotta build another house over there, maybe dig another 200-feet down to set up a strip mine near the bedrock, and then if there's time…oh, I dunno, full-size replica of the Starship Enterprise sounds pretty good." Rock on, sir. I salute your Minecraft building ability.
But if you are a certain type of person, you might find yourself thinking "You know what this game needs? Some SPACE. Just a black void, some stars, maybe a planet or two, and a ton of crazy spaceships."
Let's be honest…nobody is thinking that. Notch, however IS interested in creating a game set in outer space. It's pretty unlikely that it would be anything like Minecraft, though. Speaking to the BBC after the Bafta's he said: "I think I'm going to make a space game, where you're a guy on a spaceship and you have adventures in space."
He also revealed he had three projects he was working on, one of them presumably being Scrolls, which he recently won a court case pertaining to, allowing him the rights to use the word 'Scrolls' as the title.
If he does create a space game, what kinds of things would you want to see in it? Let us know in the comments!
