Misinformation has started to spread about GTA 6’s potential disc release.

Rockstar and Take-Two did shock everyone when they announced that GTA 6 would only release as a code-in-a-box on launch day for retailers. Subsequently, Graczdari, who accurately predicted this, claimed that discs are coming in December.
A fan shared a customer service email that they could ‘acquire a physical copy’ of GTA 6 in the coming months, but dataminer Jake Randall claimed that this is for the code and not a disc version.
THR then reported on the email, saying:
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the authenticity of the email as coming from Rockstar.
The language is being misinterpreted by a hopeful internet, a source with knowledge of the plans told THR. At this point in time, there are no plans for Grand Theft Auto VI discs to be printed — not at launch, and not months after.
Note that THR did not receive official word from Rockstar or Take-Two.
For his part, NateTheHate reached out to his contacts and they did not know about a disc version. While it’s possible that Rockstar is keeping a disc release confidential, there’s currently no reason to believe it’s happening.
