GameRoll has shared a PSA about GTA 6 fakes.
He posted this PSA on Twitter:
This is a PSA for everybody to become *extra* vigilant regarding AI images of GTA 6. Each time a new model drops they become even more believable. There’s only 7 months to go guys. Can we just stop?
GameRoll also shared one of those AI generated fakes, which we won’t share here. But we agree that it looks convincing.
Of course, we know that generative AI can’t make a GTA 6 itself. It’s not just that Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick says it. We have seen someone try it and demonstrate how difficult it is.
But we have also been reporting on GTA 6 fake leaks, and we know more and more people will try to make fakes.
Rather than argue about what fakes are convincing, fans would be best served sticking to the original trailers and images on Rockstar’s website as the only verified real images from the game.
Of course, all this energy will fade again when Rockstar finally releases GTA 6‘s 3rd trailer.
