A Warframe developer has taken a stand on behalf of gamers in response to the FUD surrounding the next generation of consoles.

Last week, a report came out with several analysts concurring that PlayStatin 6 and the Xbox Helic could both release at $ 1000.
NYU games professor Joost van Dreunen raised the topic, and both Circana’s Mat Piscatella and Kantan Games CEO Dr. Serkan Toto agreed that this price point is entirely possible.
Dmitri Linkiewicz, who works as a Principal Performance Specialist for Digital Extremes, responded to this story by saying this:
If anyone would prefer to spend money on food, I’m trying to see how much faster we can make Warframe on older GPUs.
A new console isn’t about to stop me from using a GTX 1070 to work on our game’s performance.
For better or worse, Linkiewicz mirrored what Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa said last year. Of course, Warframe just received a Switch 2 edition, and is already optimized for other platforms including PS4 and Xbox One.
Thankfully, a lot of people in the industry understand the basic reality for their customers. Hopefully, they’re all mindful of how to meet those customers halfway.
