GTA V remains one of the most popular video games for streamers as much as players.

As reported by RockstarIntel, the game clocked 1.9 billion hours in watched live streams for the year 2025. This combines viewed hours from multiple platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and others.
Surprisingly, this is down 5 % year on year. This may be partly attributed to GTA 6’s delay, because fan enthusiasm for the game has dipped from waiting too long.
Of course, not everyone who streamed GTA V watched the base game over and over. Most of the new activity happens in GTA Online. But there’s also some streamers who are creating their own GTA RP experiences from the ground up in FiveM.
This makes GTA V the second most streamed game for 2025, second only to League of Legends. While Rockstar doesn’t have a direct path to make money on streaming games, they may be building on that, starting with their acquisition of FiveM.
