In an ironic turn of events, Dusk Golem has denied, instead of confirmed, that two fan favorite characters are returning in Resident Evil Requiem.
He said this on Twitter:
I’m gonna’ snip this in the bud since people love applying fake rumors to me, I never said this, it’s a misc fake leak floating around.
I don’t believe Chris or Ada are in Resident Evil Requiem at all either from what I’ve heard, at least in any meaningful way.
While Dusk leaves a window open for them to cameo, we should not expect to play as Claire’s brother or Leon’s situationship.
Capcom’s creative direction with the franchise as a whole may discourage having such cameos, at least not without good reason. We don’t even know the full story behind Leon’s connection with Grace yet.
Capcom may have come up with some shockers that will keep players at the edge of their seats, gripping their controllers.
