A fan may have already gotten to play GTA 6.

As reported by Insider Gaming, an Ubisoft Toronto developer shared on LinkedIn that a relative was fighting cancer for years and received their final prognosis.
Developer Anthony Armstrong also revealed the relative is a huge GTA fan, but isn’t expected to make it for Rockstar’s November 2026 release date.
Armstrong updated on their LinkedIn that Rockstar reached back to them and that he received ‘great news.’ But since that time, he deleted all his posts on the topic.
Hopefully, this means that Rockstar granted the fan’s request. They may have gone radio silent because they were now signed under NDA not to share what they find out.
It’s actually common for game companies to grant special requests for fans to play their games in development for situations like this. But of course, the flip side to getting to play early is they aren’t playing a completed game yet.
What may be lacking could vary from missing assets, levels, even bosses, to a general lack of polish. But we hope this fan got to enjoy their experience.
