Ubisoft has announced a special The Division Anniversary Event to commemorate its ten year anniversary in FPS Day X in Japan earlier today.

Realism Mode

First off, the upcoming The Division 2: Wilds of New York expansion will be Realism Mode, focused on immersive gameplay.

For the duration of March 2026, players in the expansion will have reduced UI, limited HUD, no health regen, scarce ammo, longer cooldowns, realistic weapon damage, and reduced TTK.

Realism Mode will end after March, but Ubisoft has other events planned too.

Anniversary Season and Year 8

The anniversary season will come with new exotics and collaborations. Ubisoft promises outfits based on characters from Splinter Cell, Siege X, Ghost Recon, but there’s even more they’re keeping secret for now.

After the anniversary season, The Division 2 will start Year 8, which will come with its own schedule of content.

We know Ubisoft will still need time to work on The Division 3, but they could still spring a surprise on us later this year.
