Here’s The 411 On Grand Theft Auto Online: A Safehouse in the Hills

December 11, 2025 by Ryan Parreno

This is what you’ll want to know over anything else.

Grand Theft Auto Online: A Safehouse in the Hills is now live, but you may be a little overwhelmed with what’s going on.

Rockstar has shared their patch notes, and we’ll run down the essentials you need to know going in. This isn’t meant to cover everything, but it should give you a general idea of what’s been added, and what you will then want to do when you log back in.

The A Safehouse in the Hills missions brings back Michael De Santa and his wife Amanda. We won’t spoil any more in this post, but this is probably what most players are going back in for.

The next most important addition are Mansions, and there’s a lot going on here.

The 411 On Mansions

There are three mansions available for now. We covered their base prices, but those costs can come up dependent on what amenities you want added in.

Of course, if you can afford it, you can buy all three mansions now. That’s obviously only something the most loyal players will get to take advantage of.

Ultimate Mansion Control

If you install an office in your mansion, it will come with a Master Control Terminal. This is for the longest playing gamers who’s now running several businesses, as this terminal allows to operate them remotely.

The bigger addition is the AI assistant, which you can talk to in the mansion and outside using your phone. The AI assistant will let you throw parties, fast travel to your properties, and speed up business production.

The Useful Amenities

A lot of these amenities are fun, but if you’re looking for the ones that you can use for this game, these are the ones you want:

  • Garage

The garage lets you keep 20 vehicles in your mansion.

  • Vault

Yes, you can have a cartoonishly gigantic personal vault to access your money. This game lets you access the money in your bank account here as well.

  • Amory

This gives you a gun rack, the Mk II Weapon Workshop, and a small gun store.

  • Vehicle Workshop

This gives you the ability to customize your vehicles in the mansion. If you have a GTA+ subscription, that includes Drift Tuning, Benny’s Original Motor Works, and Hao’s Special Works.

  • Gym Equipment and Yoga Mats

If you hit the weights or do some yoga, you can build up your character’s Strength and Stamina, as well as temporary stat bonuses.

  • Rooftop Helipad

This one’s self-explanatory, but we obviously cannot exaggerate how convenient and satisfying it is to just be able to log into the game and go straight to your helicopter.

KnoWay Out Missions

Finally, the KnoWay Out missions are separate from A Safehouse in the Hills. Avi Schwartzman will contact you to give you a total of five story missions.

These missions can be played between one to four players. Finally, they come with Awards, and Career Progress challenges if you’re playing Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S.
