Capcom’s latest Monster Hunter game hit the marketplace early this year. If you’ve been enjoying Monster Hunter Wilds, then there’s a chance you’ve already hit the credits and are waiting for a new reason to jump into the game. Fortunately, we knew Capcom had plans for some updates for the game. Now it looks like one of the Monster Hunter Wilds updates is getting some content earlier than we expected.
Title Update 3 is a significant content drop that was slated for September. However, some of the content that the developers have been working on is apparently doing far better than expected. As a result, the developers will be moving this game update forward a month. Here’s what you can expect to be added to the game this August.
Monster Hunter Wilds August Update Breakdown
Capcom’s developers took to X and revealed that a few of the updates planned initially for the end of September are being moved up to the 1.021 update. You can expect the following content and fixes coming this August below.
Version 1.021 Update
- Weapons Balance Adjustments (More weapons are being adjusted than planned)
- New Level of Quest Difficulty (Originally scheduled for Title Update 3)
- New Rewards System Talisman (Originally scheduled for Title Update 3)
- Various Improvements and Adjustments
It’s noted that because of the new content coming with the 1.021 update, developers are pushing that update back slightly. Players can expect this update to arrive on August 13, 2025. Meanwhile, there are still plans to see Title Update 3 come towards the end of September. For a refresher, we know that in the upcoming title update, we’ll see the introduction of a new monster.
Lastly, there is a Title Update 4 confirmed to land sometime this winter. All we know about this update is that another monster is being added along with more challenging hunts. However, it looks like some fans might be more interested in Capcom adding even more to the game.
Hopefully, this surprise new update to version 1.021 will give you a reason to either stick around in Monster Hunter Wilds a little longer or a reason to revisit it.
