Someone has managed to get Windows 95 running on an Xbox One system.
The Xbox One in question is running Dosbox, the virtual DOS machine app, that allows programs including Windows 95 and other software to run.
You can see footage below from YouTuber user vcfan, who managed the feat and uploaded the resultant footage.
Only those with a developer version of the console will be able to make this work. These systems all users to load custom apps created for the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) standard, which are compatible with Windows 10 devices.
Public UWP app support will roll out to every Xbox One this summer but Microsoft may decide to place safeguards to regulate the kind of apps people can use.
