Nintendo’s president, Tatsumi Kimishima, has recently spoken about the companies next big product release, the Nintendo NX. Don’t get too excited, there’s not much information released about the upcoming console and Tatsumi Kimishima’s remarks are vague enough to keep us guessing as to what Nintendo is working on.
The interview was conducted by Asahi and later translated into English by NeoGAF user GSR. Within the interview, Tatsumi Kimishima stated bluntly that the Nintendo NX will not a successor to their latest consoles and devices available today.
“The NX is neither the successor to the Wii U nor to the 3DS. It’s a new way of playing games, which I think will have a larger impact than the Wii U, but I don’t feel it’s a pure replacement for the Wii U.”
There’s no telling just what Nintendo has up their sleeves. The company has always looked at ways to improve on how players can enjoy video games along with grabbing attention to new individuals who may not have been the biggest fans of video games.
Of course, this information is just reiterated from when the previous Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, stated. Essentially, from the looks of things, Nintendo is seeking to add new innovative ways to bring in new gamers along with supplying the necessary specifications to keep their longtime fans from jumping ship.
As for when we’ll finally get news of the latest Nintendo console, it should be relatively soon. Regardless, what are your personal thoughts on the Nintendo NX? Let us know what you would like to see Nintendo do with the console by leaving a comment down below.
