While it may not seem like it’s been that long since its return, Multiversus is gearing up for its fourth season. Yeah, things are going by pretty quickly with it. But don’t worry, that just means that there’s new stuff for you to concern yourself with. Sure enough, the team over at Player First Games went and dropped the entire roadmap of Season 4, and it features some big things that fans can look forward to. While it will only be a ten-week season, which starts on the 12th, it’ll have new looks for certain characters, new maps to fight on, oh, and then there’s the two new characters you’ll play as!!!
We’ll start with the characters because that’s the funniest bit. First, there’s Raven, the legendary Teen Titan and easily one of the most beloved characters in DC Comics. For the record, we’re not just saying that because of the equally legendary cartoon that she helped star in on Cartoon Network. That helped put Raven more into the “mainstream,” but she was already a popular Titan and DC Comics hero before then. Raven is the daughter of Trigon but has a good heart and soul. She uses her empath and magical abilities to help her friends and save the world. She’s even fought her father multiple times and won.
Having her magical abilities in the game will be quite interesting, as that will make her a much different character than many other fighters with their more “hands-on” fighting styles.
As for Marceline, she’s the former enemy turned ally of Finn & Jake and eventually became the partner of Princess Bubblegum, much to the enjoyment of the fanbase. Marceline is never one to shy away from adventure or danger, and she plays a mean guitar. More than likely, she’ll be a far more aggressive fighter, willing to rush in to do attacks or use her various vampire skills to good effect. Hopefully, we’ll get trailers for Raven & Marceline soon enough.
Moving to the other Multiversus Season 4 content, there will be two stages from the legendary Samurai Jack and Adventure Time series that you can fight on, and a certain thing called “Fighter Road” is merely labeled as a “New Feature.”
Speaking of “new,” there will also be a new mode called “Arena,” which likely implies even bigger battles are coming. Finally, there are all-new costumes, one of them featuring a “possessed” form of Superman from an animated movie in which he briefly became Trigon.
