When it comes to games like Fall Guys, they keep their audiences happy not only by providing new levels and content for players to enjoy on a basic level but they provide plenty of new outfits for them to wear so that they can have fun while they play. Ever since its release, the title has had some pretty fun crossovers, including with series you likely wouldn’t have expected. However, today, they get one that is truly Marvel-ous, as they’ve brought in the Avengers to help make the game really super. But why have one Avenger when you can have multiple ones at your beck and call?
As you can see both above and below, there are three Avengers characters that you can emulate in the game. You can be Captain America, Thor, or The Incredible Hulk. All three of these have been detailed rather well for the game. However, even in that reveal, there is a twist. After all, comic book fans will tell you that these characters have had different looks and people using the title over the years, and that’s exactly what Fall Guys will let you embrace.
For Captain America, you can don the classic Steve Rogers look, or you can be Sam Wilson, who is about to get a new movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For Thor, you can be the main Odinson, or you can be Jane Foster, The Mighty Thor. As for Hulk, he doesn’t have two people to portray, but you do get to be the Sakaar version of Hulk that donned gladiator armor.
The trailer below shows all the characters and versions in action, and it looks to be quite a fun romp.
The irony of some of this is the state of the MCU and how things are going filming-wise. For example, the last year or so hasn’t provided the best financial results for their films or TV shows, outside of one or two exceptions. Furthermore, for heroes like Captain America, while they are getting another movie, it’s been going through lots of reshoots, which isn’t something you typically associate with the MCU.
The fate of Hulk is up in the air, as he dropped some big news via his cousin, She-Hulk, but her show didn’t perform to Marvel’s expectations and was HUGE in its budget. As for Thor, his last movie, which debuted Mighty Thor, caused a very divisive reaction among fans.
So, yeah, maybe just stick with Fall Guys for now.
