Some details for Monolith’s Wonder Woman game seem to have leaked.
As of this writing, Warner Bros has DMCA’d a lot of the outlets sharing these details, as they also got their hands on some of the key art for the game. We can’t share those pictures here even if we wanted to.
Instead, we’re sharing the description and other details of the leak, as shared by DCUPrimeTV on Twitter. This image confirms that the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Interestingly enough, it also has a PEGI rating of 12. Usually, we see game ratings when a game is finished to the point that it can be sent to a regulator to give such a rating. This rating suggests that the game is actually closer to being finished than we all thought, since WB Games has not shared updates.
Here’s the text of the description:
“You are Wonder Woman in this single-player action-adventure game developed by Monolith Productions.
The powerful sorceress Circe has invaded our island homeland of Themyscira, leading an army of cyclopes, gorgons, and other monsters. It is up to you, as Champion of the Amazons, to return home and fight their treachery.
Use your godlike strength to deal shattering blows and tear through enemies in an epic battle to protect your birthplace from the invaders. Engage in fast-paced free-flow combat with devastating combos and wield powerful weapons gifted by the god, including the iconic Lasso of Truth.
As this original Wonder Woman story unfolds, you must also repair your relationship with your mother, Queen Hippolyta, and your fellow Amazons who feel betrayed by your decision to leave Themyscira many years ago.
Over the course of the game, you will encounter iconic DC characters as well as a unique cast of procedurally generated allies and enemies. Through the power of the Nemesis System, they will remember your choices and actions, and react according to their own beliefs.
Fly across the open world of Themyscira as you explore the home of the Amazons and discover mythical inhabitants from Greek mythology. Fight back against the invaders and complete your quest to stop Circe from destroying your home and acquiring untold power!”
We had reported on rumors that this same game is ‘in trouble’ from the start of this month, but we will acknowledge now that many similar rumors were debunked over the past week. Rumors had also spread that Perfect Dark was having trouble in development. But, that game’s trailer from the Xbox Games Showcase immediately answered any such skepticism.
Given the DMCAs from WB Games, the publisher inadvertently confirmed that this leak is real. It’s certainly very interesting that this will be the Nemesis system Monolith game that can be played by children alongside adult gamers. We hope that WB Games also has a trailer reveal scheduled very soon.
