Microsoft has yet to officially unveil the next set of games coming to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Typically, we receive two waves of titles that are added to the service each month. We already have the first wave of games confirmed, with the majority of those titles being released, but it looks like Bandai Namco Entertainment has confirmed Tales of Arise will be one of the games on the list for Microsoft’s second wave.
Now, this is not the first time Tales of Arise was confirmed for this month. Earlier this month, Microsoft revealed the first wave of Xbox Game Pass where the Xbox Wire headline mentioned Tales of Arise. The post didn’t mention the game; it was just the headline. Since then, it was quickly removed and reportedly a mistake on Microsoft’s part.
Of course, that led to plenty of fans speculating that Tales of Arise would be available on Xbox Game Pass during the second wave for this month. Now it’s official as the folks over at Bandai Namco Entertainment confirmed the game was coming to Xbox Game Pass on February 20, 2024. This was done through the X social media platform, letting us know what one of the titles will be for the second wave.
Now, we’re waiting for Microsoft to reveal the games that will be joining Tales of Arise during the second wave. Hopefully, it will be soon as we’re midway through the month. Meanwhile, it’s also worth pointing out that Sony PlayStation 5 players are treated to the same game. It was unveiled yesterday that the titles that would be added to the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for this month included Tales of Arise. There were also other Tales titles, but the latest mainline installment will be available if you’re only interested in that game.
While we don’t know if the next set of games will be confirmed for Xbox Game Pass today, there will be a business update. Last week, several rumors were flooding the web about the future of Xbox, which left some fans unsettled. The head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, took to the internet and confirmed that we would see a business update to help clear the air about future plans at Xbox. That will come out later today in the form of a podcast.
