There is no shortage of rumors and supposed leaks for the video game industry. But there are some individuals we tend to give more attention to. Credible leakers like Bilbill-kun have provided a wide variety of insights for the video game industry before they were officially ready for the public. So today, we’re checking out a new report from this individual that is all about Kojima Production’s upcoming Death Stranding 2 title. In particular, it looks like we might know what exactly the upcoming game will be called.
When Death Stranding 2 was unveiled, it wasn’t much of a shock. Fans took up with the first game, so Hideo Kojima will progress with a new chapter in this debut game for Kojima Productions. But when it was unveiled, the game was only titled Death Stranding 2 with a note that this was a working title. We haven’t seen anything official on the game in a good while, but that should be changing. According to Billbill-Kun, an upcoming trailer is expected to come out within the next few weeks.
This would tie back to an earlier rumor of Sony preparing a PlayStation State of Play later this month. That could be the ideal stream to drop this latest trailer. Likewise, I’m sure there are more than a few fans eager to see if they can learn anything new about what this game might entail. With that said, Bilbill-kun also noted that this game will be titled Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. That could change, but it seems like this next game will have us mainly focused around the shores this time.
Death Stranding also had quite a few cameo appearances from various celebrities. It will be interesting to see who might appear in this upcoming sequel. But we’ll have to wait for the game to launch on the PlayStation 5 eventually. It’s also likely we’ll see this game land on the PC platform at some point later on after it’s been made available for the PlayStation 5.
Meanwhile, fans are waiting to hear more about the next mysterious project Hideo Kojima is working on. If you recall, Hideo has partnered up with Microsoft to deliver OD, a game that is also quite cryptic. We know that Hideo required the technology from Microsoft to develop his intended game, but beyond that, it’s still very much a mystery to fans. Of course, the teaser provided during The Game Awards 2023 didn’t help clear up the game project either.
