Dark Souls III is out, and it is by all accounts a great game. The game’s publisher Bandai Namco today announced when FromSoftware’s role-playing game will get its first DLC expansion. They were unable to provide an exact release date, but stated that the DLC will be out this fall.
The publisher did not disclose exactly what the first DLC will contain, but the official description suggests that players will be able to explore new areas, fight new bosses and take on a host of new monsters in the DLC. There will also be weapons and armor.
Here’s what it says: “Challenge yourself with new maps, bosses, enemies, and additional weapon and armor sets. Prepare yourself once more and embrace the darkness.”
This all seems like pretty obvious stuff to add in a DLC, so we’ll just have to wait and see exactly what the developers are adding when an official announcement is made.
The game’s DLC plans were revealed back in February when the DLC Season Pass appeared on storefronts across the PC, Xbox One and PS4. It contains two individual expansion packs, which may be sold separately when they’re released.
