There has been a lengthy wait for the next Grand Theft Auto video game installment. Since 2013, we’ve been dealing with Grand Theft Auto V. That’s not necessarily bad because this game installment was a massive hit. Los Santos was a lively place to explore. The campaign was thrilling, with three characters to swap around, and then you had the active online community. Rockstar Games still supports this online aspect, so there are still reasons to continue playing this game. However, we know a new installment is in the works, and even Rockstar Games confirmed that the first trailer for this Grand Theft Auto VI installment will be coming sometime this December.
However, one reliable industry insider who mainly focuses on Rockstar Games titles suggested that we might see this trailer tomorrow. If true, this trailer will arrive on December 1, 2023, and the industry insider explained why this might be the case. According to Tez2 on the X social media account, it’s noted that Grand Theft Auto Online events run for two weeks, which will end on December 12, 2023. Looking back to when Red Dead Redemption 2 was unveiled, Rockstar Games skipped a week to have the trailer in the spotlight. As a result, it’s speculated that we’ll see the same trend with Grand Theft Auto’s next mainline installment.
Tez2 believes that the end of next week will be reserved for Grand Theft Auto Online DLC. As a result, we could see Grand Theft Auto VI’s trailer tomorrow or Tuesday this coming week at the very latest. Of course, that’s just speculation, not a concrete launch window for the upcoming game. All we know is that we will officially have the first trailer from the folks over at Rockstar Games in early December. That will hopefully answer some questions players have been asking about or endlessly speculating.
Likewise, this will be our first official look into the game that was prepared for the public. Before, we had a series of leaked gameplay clips showing off an early game build. That might have spoiled some of the details Rockstar Games wanted to keep secret, but this was just an early build. Meanwhile, there is also speculation that Grand Theft Auto VI might have been teased with some new merchandise drop from Rockstar Games. A new patch on the Rockstar Games storefront that highlights Vice City was made available. That’s the location believed to be featured in the new upcoming Grand Theft Auto title, but again, we will have confirmation sooner rather than later.
