If you were intrigued by this new upcoming FPS that mixes in magic, then you’re in luck. Immortals of Aveum has officially gone gold. That’s a huge milestone for any video game project, and best of all, that should mean you can expect this game to land in the marketplace on time. Of course, that’s for this month, as the game did have a slight delay from its intended launch date of last month. At any rate, it looks like the developers were confident enough to announce a gold status for this game development build, and it’s only a matter of time now before we finally have it in our hands to play.
The development team behind this upcoming Immortals of Aveum video game took to Twitter in order to announce that they have reached the gold milestone status. We even have a bit more insight into the game reaching its fabled gold status on the official blog for the development team Ascendant Team. After five years from taking this game as nothing more than an idea to a full video game project, this is quite an accomplishment goal for the team involved with the game production.
Of course, if you’re unfamiliar with what going gold means, then we can explain. Going gold is a massive milestone for game development. It’s when a studio reaches a point of development that they feel the game is ready for the public to enjoy. In most cases, this is when the game is sent off to manufacturing. Game discs are made and packaged. From there, units are shipped off to stores waiting to be put on store shelves. In our case for the upcoming Immortals of Aveum, the game is set to launch on August 22, 2023.
Now normally, we see development teams continue with their work. While manufacturing of the game is taking place, there are, at times, studios that can get a patch ready at launch. This is usually an update to optimize further and free the game from any additional bugs discovered. Again, we can expect this upcoming title to land in the marketplace this month, on August 22, 2023. When the game does release, you’ll find it available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. In the meantime, you can check out a game trailer for the title in the video we have embedded below.
