Kinect Star Wars Confirmed for April Release

January 27, 2012 by Josh Harmon

That’s when I was going to go to Tosche Station to pick up some power converters. Looks like I’ll have to reschedule.

Buried in the unholy trainwreck that is Kinect All Access: Episode 2 is the first official confirmation of an April release for Kinect Star Wars.

At around the 1:18 mark in the video, one of the hosts spills the beans with a bit of stitled copy. "We're about to show you a hot off the presses look at the modes that are available in the new Kinect Star Wars a full three months before the title is released [emphasis added]."

The video went up today on Microsoft's official Inside Xbox channel, so that three month lead equates to a late April launch, which meshes nicely with an earlier leak from UK retailer Argos.

Kinect Star Wars was originally scheduled to launch in time for Christmas of last year, complete with a stylish droid-themed Xbox 360 bundle. In August, the game was delayed into 2012 to help it reach its "full potential," and Microsoft has remained tight-lipped about a new launch date ever since.
