Resistance 3 was arguably the best first-person shooter no one ever played. It was also quite possibly the last Resistance game.
Speaking in an interview with VG247, Insomniac CEO Ted Price was asked about the future of the Resistance franchise. "We won't be making any more Resistances," he said.
To the point, it means there's probably not going to be a Resistance 4 unless someone else picks up the franchise from where Insomniac left off. It's bad news for anyone waiting to see a conclusion to the series. It's a pity we might never find out what happens to the Chimera and post-invasion planet Earth.
The studio has since moved on with the development of Overstrike, a four-player cooperative shooter.
