Alan Wake was a hit with fans, and while it took over a decade, we’re getting a sequel installment. We can finally see just what Alan Wake has been up to after all these years. But there are some improvements players are likely hopeful for. One of those improvements might have been Alan Wake’s ability to run a bit further before getting winded. Sure, he might be out of his element, and running may not be in his daily routine. However, as a relatively fit person, you’d like Alan could at least cover some decent distance.
But that is one area fans might have taken issue with during their time playing through Alan Wake. Fortunately, that won’t be as big of an issue in this upcoming sequel. Recently, Gamespot had a chance to speak with Remedy Entertainment’s director of communications, Thomas Puha. During the conversation, the topic of Saga Anderson came up, which prompted the publication to ask about what physical attributes Saga might possess.
That’s when Thomas caught on and laughed, alerting fans that you can bet Alan will have more stamina this time around. He should be able to run more than five meters. However, we’ll just have to wait and see how much of an improvement Alan Wake has made in his cardio when the game drops into the marketplace this October. Of course, we are also intrigued to see just what attributes or abilities Saga Anderson might have to aid her during this unusual case she was put on.
If you don’t recall, Remedy Entertainment introduced a new protagonist character that players will be able to take the role of during the campaign. Saga Anderson is an FBI agent that is sent to Bright Falls after a string of ritualistic murders is uncovered. How her story will tie directly to Alan Wake remains to be seen. But again, we don’t have too awful long before we can dive into this game for ourselves.
Currently, the next installment to the Alan Wake franchise is set to launch on October 17, 2023. This will be a full-on survival horror game, unlike the first game, which was more of an action-adventure title. When Alan Wake 2 does launch into the marketplace, we’ll find the game available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. In the meantime, you can check out a game trailer for Alan Wake 2 in the video we have embedded above.
