Activision has launched the first of many DLCs for Modern Warfare 3 on Xbox Live today. The DLC includes two maps, Liberation and Piazza, the videos of which can be seen below this article.
Those with Call of Duty Elite subscriptions on the Xbox 360 will have first access to the maps, and although the announcement has yet to be made on Xbox Live, I can confirm that Elite subscribers have already gained access to the new maps.
Unfortunately for Elite subscribers on the PC and PS3, the DLC has not yet been made available, presumably due to an exclusivity deal with Microsoft. Anyone who's not a premium Elite member has to wait for the DLC to be bundled together into a more traditional map pack, and they've announced that they're releasing the first one in March.
If you paid for an Elite subscription to receive the DLC earlier than everyone else, you may be in for a long wait. Needless to say, this development gives players little reason to renew their subscriptions once they lapse.
