Tekken fans have been rejoicing that a brand new entry is coming out. After Tekken 7 launched back in 2015, there has been quite a wait for fighting game enthusiasts to go through. Now that we know Tekken 8 is in the works, Bandai Namco Studios, alongside Arika, have been highlighting the game. Marketing materials are continuously coming out for this title, and today we have a new gameplay trailer. Those interested in seeing Jin Kazama in action will want to check out this latest video. We have just under two minutes of gameplay footage highlighting the character and his abilities regarding the eighth mainline installment.
You don’t have to be a massive fan of the Tekken franchise to likely recognize Jin Kazama. This character has been in the franchise since 1997, when he debuted as the protagonist in Tekken 3. Now we’re finally getting a better look at some of his gameplay during this latest video upload which you can catch embedded above. Previously, the developers working on this installment have mentioned that there is a focus on aggressive gameplay, so you can expect more of a fast-paced fighting experience with this particular installment when it launches into the marketplace.
There is even a new mechanic system placed in this installment as the developers reworked some of the features that were previously presented in Tekken 7. However, we’re still having to wait to see some of these finer details when the game launches into the marketplace. Unfortunately, don’t count on this game launching into the marketplace before 2023 wraps, as it seems like we won’t get our hands on Tekken 8 until some point in 2024. That is, of course, if we don’t see the game get delayed, further pushing it back.
As a result, we’ll likely see plenty more marketing materials released for Tekken 8 throughout this year. For instance, we’re still waiting for more character highlights and potentially new faces to be unveiled. But for now, we’ll have to wait for Bandai Namco Studios to make some of these highlights. Likewise, this might give you some time to ensure you have a platform available to play this game on. It doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Tekken 8 launch into the marketplace for last-generation console platforms. Instead, you’ll find it available only for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms.
