Dark Souls may get a PC release thanks to fans, who’ve expressed popular interest in seeing the game released for something other than consoles.
From Software and its publisher Namco Bandai have had no plans to release the game on the PC because of its console-oriented control scheme, but a staff member at the Japanese publisher said that the possibility existed if gamers could prove that there was a demand for it.
In response to the post, PC gaming website Rock Paper Shotgun launched a campaign to ask Namco Bandai for Dark Souls’ release on the PC. The campaign has gained plenty of steam over the last couple days, garnering over 13,000 signatures so far.
While it remains unlikely that the game will see release on the PC anytime soon, PC gamers hope to persuade the Japanese publisher into making it happen. We can only hope they succeed.
