Dying to play Star Wars: The Old Republic but only have a Mac? Well, all is not lost! BioWare co-founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk still have a Mac version on their agenda; however, nothing is solidified just yet.
Massively recently spoke with the two.
"We know there's a big Mac audience of BioWare fans … we know that's an important and large audience. And we want to serve that audience," Muzyka replied when asked about a potential Mac version of SW: TOR.
"I'd say 'not yet,'" Zeschuk added. "We've done a lot of Mac ports before of our games. We haven't announced any details yet for The Old Republic, but we know that's an important and large audience."
Though you can play the game on a Windows partition, Muzyka indicated that it was definitely not an ideal, or stable, situation.
Ray and Zeschuk didn’t offer a timeline or confirm anything, but it’s certainly on their plate, "That's definitely one of the things we're looking at next. We want to get this launch under our belt and everything stabilized and happy, and then we'll look at other platforms, and that's obviously one of the first ones."
I'm not a Mac user myself, but I wager there's a decent amount of gamers who are that really want to play this game without using Bootcamp or other, similar methods.
