Silent Hill Downpour's a game that's been delayed more than once. Though it was slated for release last year, it was pushed back to 2012 to make room for all the holiday releases that came out consecutively last year. With good reason, no game wants to compete with the likes of Skyrim and Gears of War 3.
At long last, Downpour has finally received an official release date, and should hit stores on March 6, barring any unforeseen delays. Unlike its predecessor Homecoming, Downpour is expected to be a lot less buggy (thanks to the delays) and worthy of carrying the Silent Hill mantle.
We'll just keep playing Skyrim and whatever else we can muster up until Downpour gets released. March is just a few months away.
