Fire Emblem Engage Showcases Three Houses Trio

January 18, 2023 by Todd Black

The future and the present.

One of the coolest things about the upcoming Fire Emblem Engage is the Emblem Rings you will use in battle. These rings come infused with the spirits of the Lords and heroes from other games in the franchise. When you “sync” with them, you’ll be granted boosted stats and extra abilities to help you in combat. Nintendo has slowly been releasing information about these Emblems, including those that are released via the Season Pass. If you recall, the first wave of the Season Pass will come out on launch day on the 20th. Tiki was the first character to be revealed for that, and the second is a trio you might be familiar with.

Of course, we’re talking about the three rival lords from Fire Emblem Three Houses. Edelgard, Dmitri, and Claude will be in Fire Emblem Engage as the Three-Pronged Emblem, which means they’ll have to work together whether they like it or not.

They’re one of only two Emblem Rings that have multiple spirits inside. The other is Eirika, who has her brother Ephraim with her in the ring. But getting back to this trio, when you put their ring on, you’ll randomly get one of the three at the beginning of your turn. No matter which you get, you’ll be able to earn 120% EXP, giving you a boost when attempting to level up.

That being said, each Lord has their own skills for you to rely on. For Edelgard, her Synchro Skill is “Gambit: Raging Flames.” She’ll set a tile on fire after combat, making it inflict damage on foes. For Dmitri, it’s “Gambit: Sacred Shield.” He’ll block damage from a single hit when it comes from enemies that are far away.

Finally, Claude has “Gambit: Poisoned Arrows,” where he’ll poison enemy units in certain areas. The trio’s Engage Weapon is Aymr, which can do incredible damage to enemies, especially dragons.

The trio’s Engage Skill is “Combat Art,” where you’ll burn some of the time you’ll have with them to unleash a powerful skill from their repertoire.

Last but not least is their Engage Technique, Continuous Flower-Moon-Wind Flash. They’ll do a set of attacks, one for each Lord, using their sacred weapons.

As you can see, this trio will be something to behold and a bit hard to handle. So be wise with who you put that ring on. They are one of many Emblems within the game, and you’ll get to wield them all very soon.
