Nintendo has registered the trademarks for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon in Europe one day ahead of its announced Nintendo Direct broadcast. The trademarks were discovered by Nerd Leaks, featuring logos of the new games.
The two games were trademarked today on February 25, 2016 in both English and German.
The trademarks are applicable to the games’ release on a variety of platforms, including mobile and optical media, although there’s a good chance it’ll only come out on the 3DS and not on the mobile, Wii U or NX.
The Nintendo Direct tomorrow will be dedicated to Pokemon, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary since the release of the first game. It’s set to go live at 7am Pacific/10am Eastern.
