Activision today announced Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies for the iOS, which quickly launches tomorrow. No pricing has been confirmed although it's already available on New Zealand's iTunes Store for $9.99 NZD, which is $6.99 USD. It will basically be a port of the mini-game on Black Ops, though it will have a few additional features including:
- Voice Chat , with the iPhone's headphones or a Bluetooth headset
- four-player co-op via local Wi-fi or online network matchmaking
- point multipliers (with online ranking)
- New and improved interface.
The iOS game will also consist of three control modes:
- An accelerometer-based scheme where players use one thumb to move and one thumb to shoot/look-and-aim
- The traditional dual-thumb scheme where one moves while the other looks-and-aims;
- The "control touch" where you use one thumb to move, but use the right side of your device for looking and shooting
Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies has been optimized for any hardware that can run iOS 4 and higher.
