Microsoft has revealed they will be hosting a special gaming event featuring both Xbox One and Windows 10.
Microsoft is holding the event on February 25 in San Francisco, three weeks before the 2016 Game Developers Conference will also held there. Their press invite states that the event will give them
the chance to hear from Head of Xbox Phil Spencer and get hands-on with the best games and platform experiences launching this spring on Xbox and Windows 10.
Among the likely games to be revealed at the event are Windows 10 and Xbox One games Quantum Break, Killer Instinct Season 3, Gears of War Ultimate Edition, and possibly Recore, which was confirmed for PC but is not yet coming this year. It is also possible that Microsoft will officially announce that other Xbox One exclusives, like Crackdown, Gears of War 4 and Scalebound will also be making it over to Windows 10.
And who knows what else they will bring over from console to PC? As of this writing, older Xbox One exclusives, including the Forza games and Halo 5 have not been announced or even rumored to be coming for Windows 10, but that may change in the future. It was just last year that Phil stated they were considering the possibility of porting Xbox One exclusives like Quantum Break and Scalebound to PC.
Microsoft has shared plans about unifing Microsoft’s hardware, including Windows 10 and Xbox One, as far back as October. Microsoft has already demonstrated some of these plans with the Xbox One app and its integration between the two platforms.
