Fans are very excited about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The game is coming out next month, and The Pokemon Company has done very well in slowly releasing more news about the titles and what they will each offer when they hit store shelves. New trailers have offered some more popular reveals, with the occasional “found footage” documentary being used to talk about new Pokemon the devs want to highlight. The company intends to slow burn the reveals so that not everything is known before the game comes out in November, which is fair given past leaks just before release. However, the team has already let slip when the next trailer shall arrive, and it’s tomorrow!
Sadly, The Pokemon Company hasn’t teased what might be in that trailer; they only revealed the time it’ll appear. Recent trailers have focused on the game’s story elements. We’ve learned about the Herba Mystica, the quest to retrieve it, and the Team Star fights that we’ll have to engage in to bring that group into line. We also have seen new Pokemon revealed through these trailers and all-new people we’ll meet along our journeys. One such person is the head of the Pokemon League in Paldea and a few gym leaders.
Based on this, what should we expect from tomorrow’s trailer? The obvious answer is more Pokemon. Every trailer or teaser has dropped at least one Pokemon for people to watch and discuss, so we’d be shocked if there weren’t at least a few Pokemon reveals tomorrow. In addition, we’d expect more important character reveals, like Gym Leaders or other heads of Team Star. We know from recent posts that Team Star has mini-groups within the team that leaders head up, so perhaps we’ll meet another one of them tomorrow.
Something new that we might get is a deeper look at the region of Paldea. We’ve seen glimpses of the region, but we currently don’t know a single city name in Paldea. We don’t even know where the player character is from, town-wise! Getting the lowdown on some of the spots we’ll be visiting would be fun and helpful and further paint a picture of the branching adventure that we’ll be having.
Another option is Terastalizing. That is the new gimmick for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and more information could drop about that. The co-op and online features could also be elaborated more, the differences between the two versions, and so on.
We know we won’t get all this information, not in a trailer that’s likely three minutes at max. But fans of the series will take all the details they can get to be as pumped as possible for the titles when they come out.
