Dead Island's Bloodbath Arena will finally be arriving on November 22, Deep Silver has announced.
That's much later than the add-on's originally scheduled late September launch. The two-month delay was due almost entirely to the technical problems that plagued Dead Island's launch and forced Techland to reassess its priorities. In an admirable move, the developer decided to focus on releasing bug fixes and balance changes before anything else. Now that all platforms have been patched, they're finally looking to get the game's first DLC out the door.
Bloodbath Arena adds a Horde-inspired survival mode with support for both single-player and online co-op. Experience earned in the arena carries over into story mode (and vice versa), so you'll be able to level your character as you chop your way through the four different arenas on offer. Techland has also thrown in a new weapon, the Brain Wave Bomb.
When it hits next week, the DLC will be available on the 360, PS3, and PC with a $10 price tag.
